THE TEMESCAL ACUPUNCTURE CENTER

 

The center was founded in 2003 in the North Oakland neighborhood of Temescal. Temescal is centrally located and adjacent to Rockridge, Piedmont, and downtown Oakland. It is home to a diverse, eclectic community and after living in the neighborhood for 18 years, I felt it would be the perfect place for an acupuncture clinic. Our clinic has 4 licensed acupuncturists, massage therapist, nutritionist, and homeopath. We also have a fully stocked herbal pharmacy.

 

Historically a temescal was a Native American sweat lodge used for healing. Though we keep the rooms at a comfortable 71 degrees, we are continuing in our predecessors' healing tradition.
